XPRIZE: a 3-year, $5M global competition to generate Quantum Computing algorithms to tackle global challenges.
בימים אלה אנו מקימים קבוצה שתתחרה בתחרות בינלאומית של גוגל למציאת שימוש חדשני של מחשב קוונטי לפתרון בעיה מהעולם האמיתי: https://www.xprize.org/prizes/qc-apps התחרות הינה נושאת פרסים בסך של 5 מיליון דולר. הפעילות תתקיים בחסות מרכז הקוונטים בטכניון ע"ש הלן דילר. מי יכול להצטרף לקבוצה? סטודנטים מצטיינים עם זיקה לתחום מכל הפקולטות בטכניון, מתואר ראשון וגם מתארים מתקדמים. רקע אקדמי נדרש: הבנה בסיסית טובה בקוונטים ולפחות קורס אחד בנושא אינפורמציה קוונטית או מחשוב קוונטי.   .

Quickening the Quantum Revolution
(from the Technion web site: https://www.technion.ac.il/en/2020/10/opening-the-quantum-revolution/) Unique 'Introduction to Practical Quantum Computing' Summer School The first of its kind in Israel: Technion summer school program ‘Introduction to Practical Quantum Computing’ attracts over 570 registrations. Technion opened Israel’s first summer school in practical quantum computing on Sunday, October 11, 2020. The intensive online course continued until October 16th with over 220 students taking part.

Meet Our New Faculty member: Prof. Ido Kaminer
Prof. Ido Kaminer completed his Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and Physics at Technion as part of the Psagot reserves program and the Rothschild Technion Excellence Program.
