My research advances the second quantum revolution in the AI era, focusing on three directions: (1) Quantum technologies, including quantum cryptography, secure computation, and photonic quantum computing, (2) In-physics computing, where machine learning is performed directly in optical and radio-frequency hardware, and the fundamental physical limitations of such computation, and (3) AI for science, building automated theorem proving and formal verification tools to accelerate discovery in quantum information theory and beyond.
