Atom interferometryoffers extremely high sensitivity in measuring acceleration,

gravitational fields andtheir gradients, and rotations. In addition to precision mea-

surements of fundamentalconstants and experiments designed for probing general

relativity and newtheories of gravity, atom interferometers are a promising technol-

ogy for fieldapplications such as mobile gravity surveys and navigational systems.

Such applicationsrequire operation in mobile, and potentially noisy, environments

and measuringrapidly-changing, unknown signals. This research focuses on improv-

ing the robustness ofatom interferometers under such challenging conditions, and

specifically their scalefactor stability and dynamic range.
